NUPCO Supplier Registration: Steps and Qualification

18 October 2026 · 8 min read · By NextBid Bid Experts

A NUPCO supplier must be registered and qualified before buying tender documents. Here is the route on the iNUPCO portal, from pre-registration to the qualification form, and what delays approval.

To register as a supplier with the National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO, نوبكو), you pre-register on the iNUPCO portal, wait for NUPCO's Supplier Relations team to approve the request, set a password from the email that follows, complete a seven-part supplier profile with your documents, and then submit a qualification request. A supplier must be registered and qualified before it can buy NUPCO tender documents.

This guide follows NUPCO's own guides and FAQs, from the steps and documents to qualification, tender documents and common delays. For what NUPCO buys and how its tenders run, see our NUPCO supplier guide.

How do you register as a NUPCO supplier?

  1. Pre-register on iNUPCO. The Supplier Registration item in the Suppliers menu of NUPCO's website opens the portal. Enter your company name in English and Arabic, commercial registration number, supplier type (medical or non-medical), and your representative's name, job title, email and mobile number. Tick the "I'm not a robot" box and submit.
  2. Wait for review. NUPCO's Supplier Relations team reviews the request, and an email follows once it is approved.
  3. Set your password from the link in that email: English letters only, with at least one capital letter, one small letter, one number and one symbol such as @, _, % or !.
  4. Open your profile. A second email arrives a few minutes later; follow its link and use your new password to complete the supplier profile.
  5. Complete the seven parts of the profile (next section). You can save a draft and return later.
  6. Accept the terms and submit. NUPCO's Supplier Relations FAQ says the approval notification includes your credentials, the user manual and instructions for taking part in tenders.
  7. Request qualification from your supplier profile. Registration alone does not let you buy tender documents.

What does the supplier profile ask for?

PartWhat you enter
General company informationCommercial registration expiry date and a copy of the registration; region, city, district, street and building number
Supplier categoryOne or more categories (for example agent, distributor, manufacturer or small and medium enterprise) and your VAT number
Products categoryThree levels: product category, sub-category and sub-sub-category
Banking informationBank name, IBAN, account number, account holder and currency; several accounts can be added. The guide's example also shows a required bank letter with Chamber of Commerce attestation
DeclarationsFour yes or no answers: government employee; blacklisted by a customer; bankrupt or liquidated; convicted and banned from dealing with government entities
DocumentsThe documents your category requires, with expiry dates
Terms and conditionsTick the agreement box and submit, or save a draft and return from the My Request page

NUPCO's Supplier Relations FAQ lists five documents: the commercial registration certificate, and the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), Saudization, Chamber of Commerce membership and zakat and tax certificates. The guide says the list depends on your category, and its example screen adds an authorization letter, an agency certificate and a Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) certificate. Keep them valid with our guide to Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and GOSI certificates and our document checklist.

What is NUPCO qualification, and what does it ask?

Registration creates your supplier account; qualification is a separate request that opens the way to tenders. After login (username or email, password and a one-time code sent to your registered mobile number), NUPCO's qualification manual shows the supplier profile with the message "You need to submit qualification to join tenders" and a Request Qualification button, visible only to a user holding the qualification role. If a certificate warning appears, update your certificates first: expired ones can get the request rejected. The form then asks about:

  • Whether any customer has blacklisted you, naming the customer and the reason if so
  • Whether you supply reference hospitals in Saudi Arabia, and how many healthcare contracts are ongoing
  • The value of your business in the last two years, excluding NUPCO, and your years of experience
  • Quality assurance standards, such as an ISO certificate or a quality manual
  • Number of employees and percentage of Saudi employees
  • Cash, current and quick ratios for the previous financial year

Most answers are picked from preset options (for years of experience: 10 or more, 5 to 9, or under 5), and the manual says to attach files for the first two options. After you submit you get an application number and the profile shows "Qualification is in progress". A NUPCO reviewer can approve the request or comment on specific answers, which reach you as an Edit Qualification Request task. Once approved, a check mark appears beside your account name, and clicking it shows your qualified date and expiry date; an expired qualification must be requested again.

How do you get tender documents after registering?

A registered and qualified supplier buys the tender documents through SADAD (سداد). If SADAD is down, notify NUPCO with proof of the fault and get approval to pay by transfer to NUPCO's bank account, then email the receipt to the tender's email address with your company name and NUPCO supplier number. NUPCO then notifies you when you can enter the tender. The payment is refunded only if the tender is cancelled.

In the booklet we reviewed, the documents arrive electronically on NUPCO's platform after you buy: terms and conditions, items list and specifications, tender announcement, a PDF on how to submit offers, and the economic participation policy with its undertaking form, plus any other documents the special conditions require. Check you have them all and report anything missing at once. The booklet treats buying the documents and submitting through the platform as acceptance of its terms, and recognises correspondence only from your official email registered with NUPCO.

What makes NUPCO reject or delay a registration?

  • Documents that are not in PDF format, are not valid or are not properly certified
  • Registration details that do not match your official documents
  • Incorrect bank details
  • An email address that is not an official company address
  • The wrong supplier type, medical or non-medical
  • Qualification only: no user holding the SRM Supplier Fill Qualification Form role (added from the account's Users page), so the Request Qualification button never appears

A rejection is not final: NUPCO's FAQ says you can reapply with the same commercial registration number and, if incorrect details caused it, you are asked to correct them. Official emails go only to the primary registered email, so ask during registration if others should receive them. For registration issues, medical suppliers raise a ticket through the NUPCO Care platform, and non-medical suppliers have a vendor registration email.

Registration and qualification are two separate gates, and you need both before you can buy NUPCO tender documents. Clear them before the tender you want is announced, with valid certificates and details that match your official documents.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need qualification as well as registration with NUPCO?

Yes. NUPCO states that a supplier must be registered and qualified before it can buy a tender booklet, and its qualification manual shows the supplier profile asking you to submit qualification to join tenders.

What documents does NUPCO registration require?

NUPCO's Supplier Relations FAQ lists the commercial registration certificate and the GOSI, Saudization, Chamber of Commerce membership and zakat and tax certificates. The exact documents depend on your supplier category, and they should be valid, properly certified PDFs.

What happens if NUPCO rejects my registration?

You can reapply with the same commercial registration number. If incorrect details caused the rejection, NUPCO asks you to correct them instead of declining permanently.

How do I buy a NUPCO tender booklet if SADAD is not working?

Notify NUPCO of the fault with proof and get approval to pay by transfer to its bank account. Then email the receipt to the tender's email address with your company name and NUPCO supplier number, and NUPCO notifies you when you can enter the tender.

Does NUPCO qualification expire?

Yes. Once you are approved, the supplier profile shows a qualified date and an expiry date. After expiry, the profile asks you to submit a new qualification request, so check the date before the tenders you plan to bid on.

Registration and qualification only pay off if you hear about NUPCO tenders in time. NextBid's Pulse (نبض) follows NUPCO alongside Etimad, Forsah and Tanafos and sends alerts by email. NUPCO is included on the paid plans, Pulse Pro and Pulse Intelligence, but not on the Free plan. Pulse Pro and Pulse Intelligence both come with a 14-day free trial (a card is required to start it, nothing is charged for 14 days, and the plan you chose is charged to that card when the trial ends unless you cancel before then). See how NUPCO sits next to the other three in our comparison of Saudi tender platforms.
